NOTE William Howson’s daughter married William Walker Jr.

+++++++++++++++
I found some of my information that I had put in a safe place, it took a while to find.

I  think you have the wrong James Hall my information has James Hall father and mother was Thomas Hall born 1785  died 1868  married July 2 1812 at Lancaster England to Betty Shackleton  born Nov. 12 1793 Canton England died  1831

I had a aunt and cousin went to Canada back in 1960 or 70s and meet some family members so I believe this to be right. And on the papers it does say that Mary Ann Dixon was married to a Walker and had two teenagers. (Must be Joseph & Mary E. at time of marriage to HALL)

So I found Marriage records for Daniel Day to Elizabeth age 19 born in Oneida married 11-1-1877 in Welland and she died after being married 10 or 11 yrs. and had no kids then Married her half sister or stepsister Sarah Hall 9-15-1898 in LA Mars, IA

So maybe this will help you.

Significant Facts & Guesses on William

His name appears on son Joseph Walker’s marriage license which also show his wife circa 1851 to be Mary Ann

Joseph was born in Huron County in Aug 1850 per marriage license. There was a Ontario Census in 1851 in which thare is a Joseph Brown age 2 living with:

NOTE: Age below is age on next birthday.

Location is Walpole

John Brown Bricklayer - Scotand - 33
Jane Brown - England - 32
Abner Brown - Canada - 15
Mary J - Canada - 11
Joseph - Canada - 2
Joseph Dixon - England - 25 also has a home in Thorold and is in the Thorold census of 1851
Mary Anne Walker - England - 23 also has a home in Thorold

Could Jane (wife of John Brown) be a Dixon or a Walker? Not likely.

Unfortunately Abner Brown was born in Canada about 1837 which would mean John and Jane were in Canada when the 1841 Scotland census was recorded unless he was not their son.

Looked for Mary Anne Walker in Jedburgh in 1841 and Thorold in 1851. No luck.

Looked for Dixons in the English town closest to Jedburgh. No luck.

If he was counted he was one of ____ William Walkers.

Most likely Joseph did not travel to Walpole by himself. William may have purchased land.

There are 2 William Walkers in Walpole ON in land map
