Notes for Mary "May" Weston Call
In a letter from Aunt Mary to Alice E. (Austin) Mary wrote; "To give her love to George and Mont. Says Wood is here now and he wants to get Hooker. (must have been Ellen Hooker)

Will Smallwood is married to Blanche Babcock and ??? here to Carpenter. They are as cooie as a per of turtle doves. I assume May is a bright and shinning light in your home and how thankful you must be, and when the next one comes be thankful for that whether son or daughter for they will probably be a great confort to you in the afterpart of your life. Yet they will be a great deal of care and anxiety to man and women hood but you will be amply rewarded for your trouble.

If the time had been alright we would've went to Boston this summer and stayed an month but as it was it seemed impossible. ...."
Notes for Sylvanus “Vene” (Spouse 1)
{Ltr from Vene Hussey to Miss May Wilson dtd 24 Jan 1893 mailed from Brant, NY
I am now to write you a few lines owing to it being a very disagreeable day and I fear it may be a disagreeable letter but we will have to ? to wrote your Ma that I got home in good condition and in good time and any excuse to mokn (?) only to remark that on this other side of their house is where excuses “come from” = well their funeral came off at 11 Sunday. Got back from their grave at 3PM just a house full. Lots of relations did not come. None of the Paxons from Eden put in their appearance. May not have received this letter. Brown of Versailles did not get their letter until Monday. It lay too long to their post office then came over yesterday it was so mailed at that same time that mine was and it got to Versailles Friday nite. It made them red hot -- tc.
A card from Mount yesterday noon. He writes that yellow fever has left him on the 18th day. He is very weak. ????? through it off. I shall be down.in a fews days and look the stork over. Lots of goood sleighing out here but it is too cold.
