As per the 1870 census he is listed as born in New York. I doubt that ; more than likely Canada. If his younger brother Henry was born in Canada he most likely was too ! Listed as a laborer. Was 16 on the 1870 census and listed with the Mary Murray household but is not on the 1880 census ???
