Brown info from Hal Brown of the Brown Family Association was really great. He answered right away and indeed he and I are related through Lillis's father, Abraham Brown. Nicolas Brown, Abraham's son, is Lillis's brother.
He has been to Pickering and the Brown-Orvis cemetary is next to Nicholas's old property.
Nicholas was a Quaker clerk of the Quaker Meeting in 1828 when he sided with the Hicksite fraction and was disolvolved by the Orthodox Quakers.
