Was born at 174 East Street in the Black Rock section of Buffalo. Graduated from Riverside Hi gh School in 1937. Worked at St. Mary's School for the deaf, and at Dunlop Tire in the offic e from Sept. 1941 to Oct. 1942 when she left for Missouri to marry that handsome Jack Stewart who was in the Army there. She had two sons while there and returned to Buffalo in March o f 1945 to set up housekeeping until Jack returned in Oct. of 1945. She worked at Adam, Meldrum and Anderson Department Store for 10 years in the Town of Tonawanda. Likes to knit or croch et, do needle work or sewing, read, and talk about people and events. She has been a member of her Church Guild and bowled there and with her husband belonged to a Church Travel Club tha t went to many interesting places in the area. In Jan. of 2001 she found out that cancer ha d returned for the fourth time but she was able to beat it again. She edited my comments about her and added a few more !

Served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Signal Corps. Moved to Philadelphia Street after returning then bought a house at 140 Cleveland Drive in the Town of Tonawanda in 1948 and still lives there to this day ! Employed by New York Telephone Co. for 32 years. Went by " JACK " usually ! Retired in 1978. Avid fisherman who also liked woodworking and gardening. In the photos secti on Jack is the one in the red white and blue striped shirt or seated to the left on the picnic bench at Red Cedar Lake.
