Willard Klipfel
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 6 from
Trinity Episcopal Church in Hamburg at 10 a.m. for
Willard E. Klipfel, 75, of Hamburg, who died Monday,
December 3, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah. A. O’Neil Klipfel; son,
Peter (Susan) Klipfel; daughters, Katherine Ann Klipfel
and Karen (William) Miller; sister, Jane (Edmond) Hauck
and four grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Arrangements were made through the Loomis, Offers &
Loomis Funeral Home.
Virginia Friedman
Funeral services were held Saturday (Dec. 1) from Our
Mother of Good Counsel Church for Virginia M. Bodkin
Friedman, 89, of Blasdell, who died Monday, November
26, 2001.
Wife of the late Clyde H. Friedman, she is survived by her
daughters, Anne (Karl) Kriz, Mary (Carmen) Sebastiani,
Patricia (James) Hartung and Virginia (Michael) Nadel;
son, Richard J. (Patricia) Friedman; sister, Helen (James)
Burke; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sister, Mabel Bodkin; brother,
John (Grace) Bodkin Jr. and grandson, Michael
Sebastiani.
Mrs. Friedman was employed as a school teacher for the
Lake Shore Central School System. She was a 50-year
member and past grant regent of Catholic Daughters of
America. She was also a member of Our Mother of Good
Counsel Court No. 1311, Southtowns Retired Teachers
Association, College Club of Buffalo and Daughters of
Erin.
Entombment was at Holy Cross Cemetery and
arrangements were made through the John J. Kaczor
Funeral Home.
Gertrude Boyer
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Dec.
8 from St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church in Spring
Hill, Florida for Gertrude Clookey Boyer, 85, of Spring
Hill, Fla. and formerly of Hamburg, who died Saturday,
December 1, 2001.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Felix L. Boyer;
daughters, Suzanne (William) Boyer-Gerard, Judy (Joseph) Perez, Jeanie (Charles) Vejvoda, Elizabeth
Gallagher and Barbara (Paul) Zemla; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, in-laws and nieces and nephews. Mrs. Boyer was a registered nurse and was an active volunteer in many organizations including the American Red Cross, the Bishop’s Committee in the Diocese of Buffalo and The Catholic Daughters of America. She was also past-president of the Quota Club of Hamburg and was an active member of the St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church. Memorials may be made to SS. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, 66 E. Edward Krzemien Funeral services were held Friday (Nov. 30) from Our Mother of Good Counsel Church for Edward F. Krzemien, 87, of Blasdell, who died Monday, November 26, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Zophia E. “Emily” Dziechciarz
