Notes for Anna Powers
POWERS, Stephen - Cushing Cem Woodstock, Windsor Co VT 75 Abstract of Graves of Revolutionary Patriots, Vol.3, p.† Serial: †; Volume: †
=======

Anna Powers was the daughter of Lois Emons and Andrew Powers.

She first married James Call, 28 Sep. 1773, Vermont, and had the following children:
Ascenath,
Jesse,
Joseph,
Enos,
Alanson,
Richard,
Jonathan P.,
Calvin,
Joel.
Amos

James Call died in 1807.

On 28 Oct. 1810, Anna married Jacob Nutting in Hartford, Windsor Co., VT.

Widowed, Anna moved with her sons to Geauga Co., OH, where she married her brother-in-law Elder Joseph Call, 23 May 1820, Geauga Co., OH.

Joseph Call died in Jan. 1825, and she
remarried soon after to Caleb Agard on 30 Apr. 1825, Geauga Co., OH.

Apparently widowed again, Anna married
Moses Emerson on 2 Sep. 1828, Geauga Co., OH.
The marriage must have been contentious, as seen in the following newspaper classified ad: "Moses Emerson gives notice that his wife, Anna, has left him and he will not pay her debts. Perry." 21 Apr. 1837, Painesville Telegraph.
