!Anthony Needham was born in England 1628 coming to New England and settled in
Salem around 1653.
!MILITARY: Captain Nicholas Manning of Salem served in Captain
Paige's troop in the Mount Hope campaign in June 1675, and was in command of a
company which marched to Narraganset to recruit the army after the great swamp
fight. Amoung his soldiers at that time ( Feb 29, 1675/76) were Lieutenant
Anthony Needham, John Beckett, Resolved White and Thomas Fuller from Salem.
