Notes for Asa "The Deacon" (Spouse 1)
Posted by John Call on August 02, 1998 at 13:38:08:
I descended from and have quite a bit of information concerning Asa Cyrus Call (b.September 26, 1825, Leroy, Geangie, OH; d.January 06, 1888, San Franciso, CA). Asa Cyrus was the third Asa in a row starting with Asa Call( at 1763-1831) who married Azuba Call (1767-1823). Their
children were, I believe: Asa, Trifosa, Trifena, Asenith, Azuba, Polly, Betsey, Alma, and Ambrose). This Asa Call (1792-1833) married Polly (Mary) Metcalf (b.1799). Their children were: Joseph, Angeline, Asa Cyrus, Mary M., George W., Oscar, and Ambrose. Asa Cyrus and his youngest brother Ambrose co-founded the town of Algona, Iowa in 1854. Any related information that anyone can share would be much appreciated, especially concerning the early Asa's.
Thanks,
