Notes for George Hussey
I have been told that the New England Genealogical and Historical Society (as of 1991) does not recognize any Hussey genealogy beyond John Hussey, born in Dorking about 1570. However, Dora Davenport Jones (Mrs. Jo Buck Jones), The Village Apts. 4717 Wellesley, 143, Fort Worth, TX 76107, in 1988 (now deceased) researched and compiled a genealogy that traces the line back seven generations prior to that John Hussey.
Mrs. Jones indicates that John Hussey is the son of George II, last generation on "Lincoln Pedigrees".

I'm looking for the father of John HUSSEY #2 below).
1. George HUSSEY
--------------------------------
Birth Date: About 1551
George is the last generation on "Lincoln Pedigrees" (The British
Harleian Society, Volume 51, Lincoln Pedigrees, about 1750. Pages 526 -
532).
According to a reference librarian of the New England Historic
Genealogical Society, David C. Dearborn, the Society has no position, one way
or the other , regarding the Hussey ancestry prior to John.
The missing link - Query: Is George of Lincoln related to John of
Dorking? How? In the times of 1551-1570, Dorking, Surrey, is half a world
away from Lincoln. Is there anyone else out there working on this? Has anyone
any theories on John's ancestry? (I'm aware of the opinion attributed in 1988
to a Mrs. Jo Buck Jones, deceased, of Fort Worth, Texas, which says that
George is John's father. The NEHGS says there is no proof of this. I admit
the connection doesn't sound likely. Anyone disagree?)

J. William Bardoe, Director of Research, English Genealogical Research,
Guildford, Surrey, furnished the entries below, some of which he rechecked
for accuracy, and stated that the registers of the adjacent parishes of
Abinger and Sheir (Shera) do not contain Hussey entries prior to 5 Dec 1593.
Neither do the Richmond Parish Registers reveal anything pertinent to the
ancestry of Christopher Hussey.
