Between Brant and North Collins, NY, is an old cemetery with an arched, wrought iron gate which reads HUSON 1812 CEMETERY. The cemetery listing has been published, I believe, as the Stickney Cemetery.
We found it by chance while researching Salma and Jane Huson Hawley, who are buried in the Hicksite Quaker cemetery in North Collins. Jane Huson Hawley is the daughter of Cornelius and Sarah Wing Huson, and Jane's brother is Wing Huson. According to one book, Sarah Wing (daughter of Edward and Hannah Hoag Wing) "married a man named Huson and moved to the west." End of story!
Does anyone know about Cornelius Huson?
Cornelius (1772 - 1828) and Sarah Huson (1762 - 1843), and several other Huson family members, are buried in this cemetery, as well as others not of the name.
We have photographs and the cemetery listing, if anyone is interested.
